IATA Resolution 830d is Reservations Procedures for Accredited Agents. Resolution 830d outlines reservations procedures that IATA Accredited Agents must follow.

Resolution 830d from 1st June 2019 will require agents to

  1. Actively ask the customers to provide their contact details (mobile number and/or email) to Cathay Pacific for the purposes of contact in an operational disruption.
  2. Where the customer wishes to provide this information to Cathay Pacific, the agent must enter the information in booking with IATA format SSRs CTCE and CTCM.
  3. Where the customer does not wish to do so, the agent must actively advise the customer that they may not receive information from Cathay Pacific relating to flight cancellation or schedule changes.  

In case of flight disruption, Cathay Pacific will notify the customers of the latest flight situation by SMS or email, so as to minimize any inconvenience caused to the customers.

To ensure the customers enjoy this complimentary service, please supply customers’ email addresses and mobile numbers in a correct SSR format through any GDS.

Cathay Pacific reserve the rights to raise warning and/or impose penalty against those who fail to comply the IATA Resolution 830d.
