Full Chinese Mainland border reopening

The Hong Kong SAR Government has announced the full resumption of normal travel between Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland starting from 6 February. Please refer to the latest travel guidance below for your travellers:

To the Chinese Mainland

 
From Hong Kong
With travel history to any overseas places (including Taiwan, China) in the past 7 days 
Prior to departure
/
  • Required to conduct a PCR-nucleic acid test within 48 hours prior to departure and obtain a negative result 
Required to complete the Chinese Mainland health declaration form and obtain a QR code


To Hong Kong

  From the Chinese Mainland From overseas places
Prior to departure
/
  • Required to conduct rapid antigen test (RAT) within 24 hours or PCR-based nucleic acid test within 48 hours prior to departure (except children aged three and below).
After arrival Recommend daily RATs until day 5 after arrival (not mandatory)
