Peanut/Tree-Nut Allergy

Passengers with peanut allergy/tree-nut allergy can request non-peanut/non-tree nut containing cocktail snacks being served in their class of service when they travel on a CX operating flight. Passengers are required to submit a completed MEDA form to CX no less than 72 hours prior to their scheduled flight departure.
Acceptance
- Applicable on a CX Operating flight
- With at least 72 hours advance notice
- Request will be processed as MEDA case – subject to CX's approval
Important notes to passengers with peanut/tree-nut allergy
- The alternative snacks which do not contain peanuts may still contain traces of nuts or seeds which are commonly noted allergens.
- No peanut/tree-nut snacks arrangement will not be guaranteed under unpredictable circumstances such as flight disruptions.
- No peanut-free/tree-nut-free Cabin
- CX cannot guarantee a peanut-free/tree-nut aircraft cabin, and cannot prevent passengers from bringing, opening or eating their own peanut/tree-nuts products on board.
- No peanut-free/tree-nut-free Meal
- CX cannot guarantee against cross-contamination of peanut products within the in-flight-catering network, and therefore cannot provide peanut-free/tree-nut-free meals.
Passengers who require peanut-free/tree-nut-free meals are recommended to bring their own food that do not require reheating in-flight.

- Passengers with peanut/tree-nut allergy that do not require special treatment or arrangement are not required to complete MEDA forms prior to departure. Following SSR shall be denoted in the PNR.
