Credit card acceptance and administration fee – update 2.0

Effective 25 November 2024, new updates on credit card and admin fees for Cathay Pacific ticket issuance, following the 1 August 2024 update.

• OB tax changing to a revised merchant discount rate (MDR) of 2.8084% for ticket issuance (excluding infants).
• Acceptable credit cards now include Visa, MasterCard, Amex, UnionPay, Diners Club, JCB, and Discover.
• Administration fee of INR1,500 (inclusive K3 tax) for every ADM raised (USD 50) for UATP transactions or non-accepted cards.
• Credit card transactions are NOT allowed for journey originating from Hong Kong (refer sales restriction clause in fare rules)

The administration fee is separate from CC MDR charges, and new card types are included. Agency credit cards are not accepted, and departures from Hong Kong are exempt from this fee.
