Introducing ‘Cathay’ – a fully re-envisaged travel lifestyle publication

We are delighted to introduce a fully reimagined travel lifestyle magazine for your travellers. Titled “Cathay”, the re-envisaged magazine exemplifies Cathay’s evolution into a premium travel lifestyle brand, with dedicated sections including:  

As per our commitment to becoming Greener Together, Cathay is printed using eco-friendly vegetable oil ink on environmentally responsible and ethically produced paper. All used copies of the magazine will be recycled to ensure they have a life beyond our planes. 

The theme of the first issue is “Reconnection”, as Cathay focuses on reconnecting Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area and the Chinese Mainland with the world. If your travellers are flying with us in May, remind them to check out the eight different covers for this special issue!

Chinese Mainland travel updates

Effective from 29 April 2023, international travellers to the Chinese Mainland are only required to provide proof of a negative rapid antigen test (RAT) (taken within 48 hours prior to their departure flight) instead of a PCR test. Travellers from all destinations to the Chinese Mainland are still required to complete a health declaration form.

New ferry codeshare to Guangzhou Pazhou Ferry Terminal

We are pleased to include the new Pazhou Ferry Terminal (PFT) in Guangzhou as part of our Greater Bay Area (GBA) connectivity. From 28 April 2023, your travellers can purchase a codeshare Direct Air Pass for a seamless ferry transfer between PFT and Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) with the schedule as below.
